Prime Minister Hun Manet praised as capable leader by Myanmar party chairman

PHNOM PENH (EAC News)— Prime Minister Hun Manet hosted U Khin Yi, chairman of Myanmar’s Union Solidarity and Development Party, for a courtesy call Thursday at the Peace Palace.

U Khin Yi expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Hun Manet for receiving him and his delegation. He said he was pleased to visit Cambodia again and appreciated the opportunity to discuss work.

The Myanmar party leader praised Hun Manet’s leadership, highlighting his ability, knowledge, and extensive military experience. "Prime Minister Hun Manet is a leader full of ability, knowledge, and experience," U Khin Yi said. 

He added that the purpose of his visit was to strengthen cooperation between the Myanmar Union Solidarity and Development Party and Cambodia’s ruling Cambodian People’s Party. The focus areas include youth and women’s engagement and media cooperation.

In response, Prime Minister Hun Manet welcomed U Khin Yi and his delegation. He expressed his pleasure at the progress of relations between the two parties. The prime minister said he encouraged and supported efforts to deepen cooperation at the government and party levels, especially among young people.

Prime Minister Hun Manet emphasized the importance of building ties between the two countries and their parties to promote stability and development.
